{"id":49818,"date":"2025-01-31T15:28:23","date_gmt":"2025-01-31T14:28:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.studiotorta.com\/?p=49818"},"modified":"2025-01-31T15:28:23","modified_gmt":"2025-01-31T14:28:23","slug":"ai-act-first-step","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.studiotorta.com\/en\/ai-act-first-step\/","title":{"rendered":"AI ACT &#8211; first step!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>first AI Act<\/strong> (<strong>EU Reg. 2024\/1689<\/strong>) obligations, which include AI literacy and the ban on prohibited AI practices, will be effective from February 2, 2025!<\/p>\n<p><strong>AI Literacy<\/strong><br \/>\nProviders and Deployers of AI systems shall start ensuring their staff a sufficient level of AI literacy by way of organizing training courses dedicated to their employees.<br \/>\nSimilarly, courses may be provided to AI users to help them understand the risks associated with AI and its use.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prohibited AI Practices<\/strong><br \/>\nInferring human emotions in the areas of workplace or education, using subliminal, deceptive or purposefully manipulative techniques, exploiting human vulnerabilities (e.g., age, disability) or using other practices listed in Article 5 AI Act will be prohibited.<br \/>\nIt is therefore of the utmost importance for the companies to evaluate the AI applications in use and to ensure they do not fall under the above-mentioned prohibited practices.<\/p>\n<p>There is still time before the sanctions kick in!
