“Ideas powered for business” – New Funds for SMEs
The fund managed by EUIPO and aimed at European SMEs has been refinanced: 25 million euros are available for IP services.
Only one measure is currently available for Italian applicants: Voucher 2 with a maximum reimbursable value of EUR 1,000 for activities related to trademarks, designs or models.
Each SME can only apply for one Voucher 2.
The reimbursable expenses are:
- trademarks and designs at EU level:refund of 75% on trademark and/or design application fees, fees for additional classes and fees for examination, registration, publication and deferment of publication at EU level;
- trademarks and designs at national and regional level: refund of 75% on trademark and/or design application fees, fees for additional classes and fees for examination, registration, publication and deferment of publication at national and regional level in EU Member States;
- trademarks and designs outside the EU: refund of 50% on basic trademark and/or design application fees, designation fees and subsequent designation fees outside the EU (Madrid system and Hague system). Designation fees for EU countries are excluded, as are handling fees charged by the office of origin.
Voucher applications can be submitted, in electronic format only, from 23 January 2023 to 8 December 2023. Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
There are no refunds for consultancy expenses.
Vouchers are not retroactive. Therefore, the Voucher amount will only be usable for trade marks and designs filed after the Voucher has been granted.
